THE GOOD NEIGHBOR HOME.......
is a non-profit 113 skilled bed facility with 63 private rooms, 32 semi-private rooms and 18 double room accomodations, designed to provide each resident with a private view of the grounds. Garden View, a 16-bed CCDI Unit (Chronic Confusion and Dementing Illness) was licensed in 1998.
We serve all persons without regard to race, sex, age, handicap, religion, creed, politiical affiliation or the ability to pay. The Good Neighbor Home adopted a smoke-free policy on behalf of its residents and their right to a smoke-free environment. We are a Medicare/Medicaid Certified Facility offering skilled services for those that qualify. We offer the Eden Alternative program which is designed to increase the joy in residents daily lives by creating a natural environment where they can nuture and give attention to companion animals, living plants, and children. The goal of G.N.H. is to provide individualized care with empathy and understanding. Our commitment to quality nursing care is strengthened by an internal Quality Improvement Program which provides an ongoing monitoring system of care and services to ensure continuing improvement. Each resident is encourage to participate in the development of their speciific Plan of Care. Families are invited to participate in all aspects of resident life and activities. Our professional Nurses supervise a staff of Certified Nursing Assistants who have received state approved training and competency testing. Certified Rehabilitation Assistants provide services under supervision of a Rehabilitation Specialist with direction from Licensed Physical and Occupational Therapists.
